The text part explicitely states that the French palaeobotanist and mining engineer [Charles] René Zeiller (1847-1915) is the sole author; the atlas volume mentions Zeiller and Bernard Renault (1836-1904), and has an expanded title, viz., Atlas de la Société de l'Industrie minérale. 3ème Séries. Tome II. 2me Livraison; the text volume being the 1re livraison. Included are the 1890 Appendice a la Première Partie (pp. 369-380; by Zeiller, with some text engravings); Deuxième Partie (pp. 381-712 by Renault), Troisième Partie (by both authors; pp. 713-727), and index. Other parts published (not botanical, not included) deal, e.g., with fossil reptiles and insects, lithology and stratigraphy, etc. and were written by other geologists and palaeontologists. Front board of text volume near detached. Old library label on text volume spine foot and old stamp on title, a few text leaf margins, and last leaf verso. Atlas with some marginal foxing, otherwise a very good, clean and complete set.
