Description

Inscribed by author on front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 306pp. How the Basotho people of the independant Kingdom of Lesotho in the middle of South Africa firstly welcomed the British as protectors, but as the Brits tried to disarm them, they rose up and overthrew their 'protectors' in the Gun War of 1880/81 to maintain their original independant state.
