With drawings included throughout the text by the author. 8vo, publisher's original green cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine and upper cover, the front cover also pictorially decorated in black. t.e.g. iv, 234 pp, 16 ads. A very nice copy, bright and clean and in very pleasing condition .
Edizione: a charming book by gilbert of "gilbert and sullivan" fame. these ballads were originally published in the columns of fun. later they were published in book form in 2 volumes. this is the first issue of the one compact illustrated volume including only the best ones.
