Description
Cassel, Theodor Fischer, 1868. Large 4to. 32 pp.; six double-sized (one even larger) tinted lithographed plates. Original printed boards. = The start, apparently, from a rare, larger work, published in "Palaeontographica", and complete in 191 pages and 32 plates. Pritzel lists the work as from 1869. Despite the title some fossil animals are described too. The plates included are numbered I, II, V, VII, XI, and XVIII, the last being quite large, double folded. Boards soiled, plates spotted, text mostly clean. Nissen BBI, 1663; Pritzel, 7699.
