First and only edition, 12mo, viii, 124pp., presentation inscription from the author, gilt tooled turn-ins, contemporary purple embossed hard-grain morocco, title in gilt on upper cover, gilt Royal coat of arms on lower board, some light rubbing. ìThese letters were written for the guidance of a young friend who was anxious to become a Senior Lieutenant.
