8vo. 182, (2) pp. With steel-engraved portrait frontispiece, engr. title-page, 4 steel-engraved plates and numerous wood-engraved illustrations in the text. Contemp. marbled boards with giltstamped red spine label. First edition for public distribution, interesting to the "friend of fine printing" (cf. Rabenlechner). Jellacic's poems had been previously printed as a manuscript in Zagreb in 1825, when the author served in the Knezevic Dragoons, and were intended for his close friends only; a quarter of a century later, he issued this edition for the benefit of the Jellacic fund for invalids. - Slightly foxed; binding somewhat rubbed at edges and corners. - Rabenlechner 135.
