This is a fine hardcover copy bound in black illustrated boards, without dust jacket, as issued, with no wear at all. Completely clean inside and out. Text in FRENCH. Georges Geffroy (1905 - 1971) was a very well known interior designer who provided his wealthy clients with the finest 18th century room settings available. Long established in his shop on the Rue de Rivoli in Paris from the 1940's through the 1960's he worked with patrons like Charles de Beisteguy, Alexis du Rede with his Hotel Lambert, Christian Dior, Daisy Fellowes, Gloria Guiness, etc. Illustrated in both color and black & white with many vintage photographs of his much admired interiors. Also a number of his drawings and sketches are included. The text is arranged chronologically client by client from Marcel Rochas in the mid 1940's to Pierre David-Weill and Philippe and Denyse Durand-Ruel in the late 1960's. Over two dozen commissions.
