8vo., Second English Edition (revised), with 12 plates on 8, neat contemporary signature on front paste-down; original black cloth, gilt back, a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter mildly chipped and frayed at edges. The revised edition of Graves' classic war memoir was first published in the US a week earlier; the UK edition was printed in far smaller numbers and is considerably scarcer. The 'revisions' amount in aggregate to a new book. Higginson A32h, recording that 6027 copies were printed.
