Description
Name on first page. No other marks or inscriptions to contents. Very slight creasing to covers. A very clean copy with very slightly marked boards and no bumping to corners. 62pp. A detailed account of the Halifax Tramway System, how it was negotiated and eventually approved after fourteen years of discussions and disagreements. It opened for use in 1898 and includes details of the competition which took place between horse-drawn buses and the new tramways . The account is split into four parts ending in 1908 and fully describes the negotiations which took part over these years as the system extended out to neighbouring districts.
