FIRST EDITION. VOLUME 4 ONLY OF 5. This handsome book is the fourth volume of the French translation of Heinrich Graetz' magnum opus, "History of the Jews from the Earliest Times to the Present Day". The translation was made by the French rabbi Moïse Bloch. 238x150mm, 472 pages. Marbled half-leather Hardcover with gilt lettering on spine. Cover slightly worn. Cover edges slightly bumped, mainly near spine. Spine edges slightly bumped. Pages yellowing. Index pages uncut. Bottom corner of page 464 creased. Very faint stain near upper edge of pages, mostly on pages 390-472; no damage to text. Small tear on page 469 edge. [SUMMARY]: Save for some light wear, this aesthetically-pleasing volume of Jewish history is in good condition.
