This is a very good hardcover copy of this classic two volume set on American graphic humor. Both volumes very clean, but one short gift inscription on the front endpaper of volume 1. Volume 1 has the dust jacket, it is clean, but chipped. Volume 2, no jacket and top of spine is chipped. Introduction by Christopher Morley. Illustrated in black & white: 237 illustrations in volume 1; 242 illustrations in volume 2. 11" high X 8" wide, 245 & 271 pages. Volume 1 covers the period 1747 to 1865; volume 2 covers 1865 to 1938. Volume 1 published 1933 and volume 2 in 1938. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
