Description

EXTREMELY RARE serialized publication of an unabridged English translation of Mein Kampf by James Murphy, just prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. The series was published weekly in a magazine-like softcover format, and distributed only by subscription. Proceeds from the sale generated royalties for the British Red Cross. The first booklet includes a foreword by Murphy, trying to explain the background to Hitler's writings. The text is accompanied by a total of 200 printed photographs showing scenes from places relevant to the narrative and history, as well as portraits of persons relevant to Hitler's life and the Nazi Party in its various incarnations. [ATTRIBUTES:] 16 of 18 volumes: #13 and #17 missing. 245x185mm, 580pp (incl. missing volumes). Red and yellow softcovers, stapled binding. [CONDITION:] All pages and covers yellowing. Booklet corners lightly rubbed and/or bumped, esp. in Vol. 1. Wormhole in Vol. 1 extends through front cover into page 13, with minor damage to text. Some ex-library stamps and stickers present. Otherwise all booklets preserved in good condition for their age.

Edizione: in 18 weekly parts, illustrated by 200 full page plates, the original edition entirely unexpurgated
