This is a very good softcover copy with only light wear. Very clean inside and out. Text almost completely in Japanese. One review from a French newspaper reprinted as well. Ikusaburo Ito (born 1926) was a Japanese abstract expressionist painter who started painting in the 1940's, and was very much influenced by the School of Paris. By the 1960's he was painting completely abstract works in the syle of the Abstract Expressionists. This catalog represents his work from 1946 through 1989. 111 color plates + 67 black & white illustrations. Checklist of 177 works. 11" high X 9" wide, 147 pages.
