Rara edizione ante guerra, nel 1938 la casa editrice fu costretta a cedere l'attivit‡ a causa di leggi razziali. Dalle bibliografia apprendiamo che il fondatore fu Salomone Belforte nel 1800 specializzato in libri in lingua ebraica, il nipote Giulio (1857-1921) decise di ampliare il settore con la pubblicazione di testi per ragazzi.
Legatura editoriale semi rigida completamente illustrata, alcune macchie di polvere alla copertina, abrasione alla copertina inferiore di cm. 3 x 2. Pagine interne in buone condizioni. Senza strappi, mancanze o segni.
