8vo., First Edition, on laid paper, with a sepia-toned frontispiece, 23 sepia-toned plates (8 double-page panoramas) and endpaper maps, fore-edges very lightly spotted; original black cloth, cloth, gilt back, a near fine copy unclipped dustwrapper, the latter lightly spotted at fold-ins. With striking dustwrapper by E.A. Cox. The first edition is scarce in anything like this condition. Fields & Devenish 21.
