Description

Original illustrated wrappers. Cr. 8vo. (20 x 14 cm). In Russian. 170, [2] p., one double full-paged map of Italy and its colonies on the Mediterranean, and one full-paged map of Abyssinia under the Italian conquest and colonial rule. Age-toned on covers and pages, minuscule cracking on the lower right of the front cover. Overall, a good copy. The first and only edition of this Russian insight of the analysis of the internal and international situation of fascist and colonialist Italy in connection with the Second Italo-Ethiopian War (1935-1937) with avantgarde cover design, through the eyes of a Soviet journalist. Korradov's book provides an in-depth analysis of Fascist Italy's expansionist and invasive policies in North Africa. After a brief overview of the country's economy and political structure, the author delves into the core aspects of Italian foreign policy, with a particular focus on the Abyssinian campaign as a key factor in escalating the threat of a new world war. The final pages offer interesting insights into the Soviet Union's stance and policy regarding the Italo-Abyssinian War. As of December 2024, we could trace only four copies worldwide in OCLC (28585388).
