Stewart fu mandato nel Pacifico nel 1822 e fu uno dei primi predicatori residenti nelle Hawaii: questo è uno dei primi resoconti strutturati della vita e delle abitudini delle popolazioni indigene. Stewart was send on the Pacific Ocean in 1822 and was one of the first preachers to establish in Hawaii Islands.
