This retrospective is a centennial commemoration of the birth of one of Japan's best loved artists. It was held in the spring of 2008 at the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo. It presents about 100 paintings, 50 sketches and studies and examples of screen painting in several settings. Illustrated throughout in color with some black & white, including fold-outs. Chronology.
