8vo (239x159 mm). [4], 85, [3 blank] pp. Contemporary marbled boards (rubbed). On the front pastedown bookplate “Fratelli Salimbeni”. Some foxing, but a very good, wide-margined copy. Uncut.
Second enlarged edition, published only a few months after the first with the addition of the letters that the author wrote to Napoleon and to Eugène de Beauharnais, viceroy of Italy, to accompany the gift of the volume that he had sent them (cf.
