Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or creased with signs of storage. 235pp. The life of the great Polish astronomer Copernicus against the background of the times (fifteenth/sixteenth centuries), the world in which he lived and the planet he launched on its orbit round the sun, thus initiating the Copernican era and a revolution in man's concept of the universe. With a number of tipped-in coloured plates, sixty pages of text and around 170 pages of captioned black & white photographs.
