Ettore Roesler Franz, (1845 - 1907) was an Italian painter and watercolorist. His most famous works are the series of acquarelles he produced in Rome between 1876 and 1895, they are referred to as 'Roma sparita'. They are all in the collection of the Museo di Roma in Trastevere, where the exhibition was held in 2007. This monograph is the most comprehensive work on this artist to date.
