3 volumi legati in uno in 12°, pp. 224, 243, 272. Con tre figure incise alle antiporta. Leg. mezza pergamena con titoli su tassello al dorso. Abituali fioriture. Romanzo filosofico e satirico, nel quale i protagonisti, nonostante una certa fedeltà allo spirito del cristianesimo, mostrano atteggiamenti libertini. Il libro fu vietato come offensivi per la morale pubblica e la religione. Dulaurens venne condannato all'ergastolo per i suoi scritti antireligiosi. L'opera venne anche attribuita a Voltaire.
