He had been married to Misia Godebska (later Misia Sert). While he wrote several books devoted to art criticism, THIS IS HIS ONLY PUBLISHED LITERARY WORK. This work, widely (and reasonably) regarded as anti-Catholic, was attacked by the Action Française: it was performed only after legal action was taken against Jules Claretie, director of the Comédie Française. 8vo.
