Description
First edition in Italian (the name of translator is not specified) of Enea Silvio Piccolomini's Historia Bohemica, first published in Rome in 1475. This is one of Piccolomini's most remarkable historical works, written shortly before he was elected pope in 1558, the result of his sojourn in Bohemia as papal legate in 1451. It is history of Bohemia from the origins to the Hussite period, based on the three 14th-century Czech chronicles.
