Description
This is a very good hardcover copy in the original dark green paper-covered boards elaborately decorated in gilt. Gilt design is a floral cartouche with the title inset. The whole design a little faded. Very clean inside, outside clean, light wear to edges. Text in French. Illustrated with hundreds of prints showing 18th century festival scenes from different European countries, the prints are reproduced in several tints: black & white, sepia, siena red, blue, etc. Also 13 full page color plates, two plates in pochoir by Edith Follet. 12" high X 9" wide, 194 pages. No date, but ca 1900. This book will be securely wrapped and shipped with tracking.
