Description
Paris, Société Géologique de France, 1905. Large 4to (32.5 x 25.0 cm). 33 pp.; five plates with explanatory text leaves. Original printed wrappers. = A rarely seen work on the superbly preserved Eocene fish from the famous site at Monte-Bolca in Italy. The illustrations are excellent. Written by the American palaeontologist and ichthyologist Charles Rochester Eastman (1868-1918). Uncut, therefore with light chipping to the wrappers's fore edges, otherwise excellent: clean and unmarked.
