Description
Signed 'For Simon from his old old decrepit friend Robin with happy memories of a walk home through the snow in January 1963' to front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked olive cloth boards, clear ginger lettering to spine, tanning to page edges and no bumping to corners. A very nice copy. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or creased with tiny pieces missing from spine ends, rubbing to corners and well foxed jacket margins. 136pp. The narrator finds Ginger Edwards, a fellow ex-soldier burgling his house late at night. When he has put down his gun they talk but Ginger scares at the door opening and runs away. The story is the narrator's effort to track down Ginger and discover why he behaved in such a way. The 1953 British film 'The Intruder' was based on this story. Tucked in is a scan of a corroborative signature from the author on another copy of this book.
