Catalogo numero 35 di questa ditta di Lipsia fondata nel 1889 da Wilhelm von Pittle. "In 1889, Wilhelm von Pittler founded a company in Leipzig, Germany, which was principally concerned with building drum-type turret lathes of his own design. Pittler multi-spindle automatics were introduced in 1904 and in 1929 a licencing agreement was concluded under which the Company started to build machines of this type developed by the National Acme, Cleveland" (Machinery and Production Engineering, vol. 105, 1964, p. 642).
