Christian Johann von Wolff (1679-1754) from Breslau, a leading figure of the German enlightenment, was Professor of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Halle University. Distinguished copy with the arms of Empress Maria Theresa (1717-1780), Archduchess of Austria, daughter of Emperor Charles VI, wife of Emperor Francis I Stephen, mother of Marie Antoinette, Queen of France.
