8vo., First Edition, some light age-staining to early leaves, neat contemporary signature on front free endpaper; strongly bound in contemporary green half calf, marbled boards, back with six flat bands ruled in gilt, second compartment lettered and numbered in gilt, green endpapers, red sprinkled edges, a remarkably well-preserved, bright, crisp copy. Collects sermons delivered by Spurgeon at the Metropolitan Tabenacle, Newington, between 3 January [Suffering and Reigning with Jesus] and 25 December 1864 [Mary's Song].
