This is an updated version of the 1982 catalogue of the Gilbert Collection of mosaics, by Alvar Gonzalez-Palacio. Jeannette Hanisee Gabriel was the curator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, for the Gilbert Collection housed in the museum. Illustrated in color with many close-ups and details shots of the small mosaics. Contributions by Anna Maria Massinelli, Judy Rudoe and Massimo Alfieri. Glossary.
