Embossed boards still attached to text block but with tape used for extra security. Spine strip missing and board edges very well rubbed. 399pp. An account of the Military and Naval Schools of France and Prussia with reference to the special training of officers and men for war, in particular use for the American Civil War which was ongoing at the time of publication. Very scarce.
