The book opens with 3 chapters on the Dutch history in India in the 16th, 17th and 18th century. Chapters 4 to 24 list the monumental remains in the cities of the erstwhile Madras Presidency. Chapters 25 to 29 deal with Indo-Dutch coinage. This book is a reprint of the 1897 edition.
