8vo., First Edition, with a portrait frontispiece; original pictorial green cloth blocked and lettered in black, backstrip lettered in black, black top, some very light chafing at extreme tail of backstrip else an unusually bright, clean, crisp copy. Collects no fewer than thirty-two Mulliner tales selected by Plum himself. 'The frontispiece is a photograph of PG looking as if he has been quite recently arrested for doing something reasonably silly' (Connolly). Uncommon in this condition. Connolly 64; Jasen p.273.
