Description
No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn with nick to lower rear edge and slight creasing to upper front edge. 305pp. An in-depth study of Nicholas II of Russia, forced unwillingly into taking the throne on his father's death, he struggled with a role he was ill equipped for. He was dominated by his wife Alexandra, fought a war with Japan, had to accept a constitituent assembly following the 1905 revolution, was faced with the 1914 World War and finally the 1917 revolution precipitated his abdication and death at the hands of the revolutionaries. Illustrated.
