Paris, Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle, 1841. Large 4to (30.6 x 23.5 cm). 41 pp.; three engraved plates of which one finely hand-coloured. Later wrappers with printed label on front wrapper. = An early study on the "electric" organ of the African electric catfish, Malapterurus electricus (L.). Published in the Muséum's Archives. Small tears in one text leaf (not reaching the text), otherwise a very good copy with wide margins. Very rare. Dean II, p. 575; Nissen ZBI, 4560.
