Roy. 4to., First Edition, on laid paper, with 24 fine mounted coloured plates (all original captioned tissue guards present), 72 plates toned in sepia and decorative endpapers, half-title, title and first few leaves lightly spotted; original navy buckram, upper board blocked and lettered in gilt, bevelled boards, gilt back, gilt top, uncut, a very good, bright, crisp copy. EDITION LIMITED TO 1500 NUMBERED COPIES (THIS COPY NO. 16). With personal bookplate on front paste-down. Bright, crisp copy of a standard reference. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
