AN UNPUBLISHED AUTOGRAPH POEM BY GEORGES ROUAULT: A MEDITATION ON LIFE, ART, AND DEATH. 17 verses (divided into 3 stanzas) in neat script in blue ink. WITH THREE PAGES OF ROUGH DRAFTS FOR THIS POEM, heavily edited. Four leaves in all, 27.5 x 22 cm. In very good condition, with a few minor marginal tears to drafts (no loss of paper or text.) Although many artists of the School of Paris tried their hands at poetry, only Rouault succeeded. UNIQUE AND IMPORTANT.
