This is a near fine softcover copy with virtually no wear. Completely clean inside and out. Text in French. Essays by Michael Waldberg, Anne Vitart and George Horse Capture. This catalog was prepared to highlight the remarkable collection of painted buffalo hides at the Musee de l'Homme in Paris. Illustrated with 37 full-page and 39 smaller color photographs + 3 black & white photographs. All of previously unpublished 17th and 18th century buffalo hides in the collection of the Musee de l'Homme. 23 buffalo hides catalogued by George Horse Capture. All reproduced in color photographs.
