This is a near fine two volume hardcover set with almost no wear. Bound uniformly in dark green leatherette printed in black and gilt. Completely clean inside and out. Text in Russian. Title-pages and indices also in French. This two volume set comprises the complete holdings of western European paintings in the Hermitage Museum. Volume 1: Italy, Spain, France and Switzerland. Volume 2: Netherlands, Flanders, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, England, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Poland, Rumania, and Czechoslovakia. Index of painters. Index of portrait subjects. Illustrated throughout in black & white with some color plates. All paintings illustrated. 11" high X 8" wide, 341 & 356 pages. Volume 1 was published in 1976, volume 2 in 1981. A beautiful set.
