In-4° (26x20 cm), pp. VIII, 157 (3) bianche, legatura editoriale t. tela azzurra con illustrazione a colori al piatto raffigurante Pinocchio impiccato e titolo in bianco al dorso. Illustrazioni f.t. a colori in linoleografia di Richard Floethe. Lievi segni del tempo e d'uso alla legatura leggermente stanca ma più che buon esemplare. Deliziosa seconda edizione (laprima uscì nel 1937) statunitense di Pinocchio, nella traduzione del Cramp e con le illustrazioni del Floethe. Prefazione di Carl Van Doren, noto scrittore che fu anche premio Pulitzer per una biografia di Benjamin Franklin. Richard Floethe (Essen, 1901-Orange County, New York, 1988), illustratore tedesco poi naturalizzato americano, fu artista assai apprezzato, e alcuni suoi lavori sono conservati al Metropolitan Museum of Art e alla New York Public Library.
