The 616 entries comprise a full title-page transcription, detailed collation, and, often, a description of the circumstances of the sale and the history and subsequent fate of the collection. Many of the examples are rich in contemporary annotation and in bindings of the period and all of this is described in detail. A most valuable work of scholarship in this field of bibliography.
