About the Book:- The whole Sub-Saharan Africa and especially in Ethiopia, the household's capacity to manage risk is very low due to multiple factors coupled with a poor asset based lives, which makes them vulnerable to food insecurity. Consequently, policy interventions designed to reduce vulnerability are becoming increasingly important, making it crucial to develop reliable and easily applied measures of vulnerability to enhance the targeting efficiency of such policy measures. In particular, the welfare status of a substantial share of the population may be just above the food security threshold.Food security situation in Ethiopia is highly linked to recurring food shortage and famine in the country, which are associated to recurrentdrought.
