FIRST AND ONLY EDITION OF THIS EXCEPTIONALLY RARE PORTFOLIO OF FIFTEEN BEAUTIFUL AND ELEGANT BOOKPLATES (mainly armorial) BY LOUIS DE MAIER, PRINTED ON FINE PAPER, each tipped onto a sheet of fine black wove paper. Fourteen are heliogravures in different colors, the last is a wood-engraving by the Comte Stelluti after Maier. 4to. Loose as issued in printed wraps, WITH A SIGNED DEDICATION INSCRIPTION BY DE MAIER. Wraps a bit worn at extremities, contents FINE AND BRIGHT. Fuller, p. 73. VERY RARE.
