Description
No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with very bright unmarked light green cloth boards, well-foxed top of page edges and end papers and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped and very slightly marked and dusty with previously repaired tears to upper and lower edges. 223pp. When a blackwinged stilt is found nesting near the Wiltshire home of the secretary of the Natural History Society, his village becomes a madhouse as the London press descend on it. The author's experience of Fleet Street and his life-long interest in bird-life give an unusually authentic background to the story. He later became a prominant BBC broadcaster. Very scarce first edition hardback. We do not use stock photos, the picture displayed is of the actual book for sale. Every one of our books is in stock in the UK ready for immediate delivery.
