London, Her Majesty's Stationery Office, 1880. 4to (31.8 x 25.3 cm). 45 pp.; three tinted, lithographed plates. Disbound. = The seldom-seen part on the whale bones. Written by the British professor of anatomy and brain surgeon, Sir William Turner (1832-1916). Disbound from larger volume, but the sewing intact. This is a single, complete monograph published in the Expedition's reports Part I, i.e., the start of this important series of monographs. A very good, clean copy. Nissen ZBI, 4754.
