Questa sua unica opera completa superstite, armonicamente intensa e melodicamente felice, costituisce un originale sviluppo dello stile concertato policorale romano. Vincenzo Gallo, member of a minor convent, was for many years 'magister musices' both in the cathedral and in the royal chapel of Palermo until his death in 1624.
