First edition, 4to (280 x 220 mm), xii, 100pp., with a list of subscribers, 50 plates, endpapers foxed, original boards, imitation vellum spine, a little rubbed and soiled, untrimmed. The preface indicates a plan to cover more in a further volume, which never appeared as the authorís wife appends a second preface explaining that he had alas died before producing what eas to be a five volume fully illustrated county history.
