First Edition by Doubleday. 8vo, publisher’s original Kipling green cloth, the spine and upper cover lettered in gilt and pictorially decorated in black. [vi], 325 pp. A good copy with some typical wear from age and use, the text-block clean and well preserved, the binding with some light rubbing at the extremities, some mellowing to the spine panel.
Edizione: a collection of eight short stories, including "the god from the machine", private learoyd's story, the big drunk draf', the solid muldoon and others.
