Lugduni Batavorum, Arnz & Soc., 1850. 4to. 241 pp.; 65 lithographed plates (numerous larger, folded). Original blue wrappers with paper label on the spine. = An important, early contribution to the knowledge of the Dicotyledones and Monocotyledones of Suriname (or Surinam; former Dutch Guyana) in northern South America, written by the Dutch botanist Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel (1811-1871). A copy with stiff boards. Most copies have thin paper wrappers. Binding weak between text and plates section. A few plates with a weak, marginal damp stain. Otherwise a very good, clean copy.
